From the grounds of the QUT Samford Ecological Research Facility, our Samford Valley QLD Neighbourhood Honey is a seasonal reflection of one of South East Queensland’s most ecologically rich landscapes. Set within Samford Valley, the facility is a living laboratory spanning forest, endangered gallery rainforest and regenerating peri-urban habitat — a remarkable setting for a truly place-led harvest.

Like all of our neighbourhood honeys, this release captures the character of the environment our bees call home. Flying across a diverse patchwork of native vegetation and flowering surrounds, the bees create a raw honey that speaks of season, locality and floral variation — a real expression of landscape in every jar. This aligns with Bee One Third’s focus on raw neighbourhood honey derived from unique Australian locations and shaped by the surrounding community and environment.

Our seasonal honey is harvested at the end of each climatic season to ensure we capture the specific flavour and textural profile of the former season's flowerings. From batch to batch and location to location, our honey will change in flavour, texture, profile and natural sugar content.
