Why Bee One Third?

We need bees

Honeybees contribute to over one third of our global food supply through pollination. Without bees, we would lose access to over 90 varieties of fresh food.

Wild Flower Bee Pollen

Regular price $8.50 AUD

Bee pollen is a great way to introduce local and native pollens into your diet. It is a powerful antibacterial, antifungal, an antiviral and anti-inflammatory supplement that can be easily blended into daily smoothies, sprinkled on top of granola, mixed in with your morning elixir or eaten straight from the jar!

Bee Pollen is a delicious way to introduce a new raw source of protein to your diet, as the body can easily digest and absorb it due to its high mineral content.

Start small with ½ tsp daily, then work up to 1-2 tsp daily. Best used in smoothies, granola, yogurt or salads.

Bee pollen is collected at the front of the hive when the female worker bees have returned from visiting hundred of flowers. Each bee will bring back only two granules of bee pollen per visit out of their hives. We install small traps on the base of the beehive, where the pollen drops into, and the beekeeper collects this daily. Bee pollen collection does not harm the bees, and nor does it take any pollen (the bees protein!) away from the hive. Beehives are only placed on pollen production when there is an ultimate surplus of pollen in the conservation park.

Our wild flower bee pollen is sourced from one of our certified Bee One Third beekeepers in South Australia. From the pristine wilderness of the South Australian Ngarkat Conservation Park (protected wilderness for native wildlife and conservation). We believe South Australian bee pollen is the best in Australia due to its unique floral properties, its bright, multi-floral and diverse flower species. We believe diversity of diet is best for bees, thus, best for humans too.
