From the heart of the Brisbane wetlands on the banks of the Kedron Brook waterway, our bees are pleasantly surprised to find a remote pocket of the city outskirts. Our past seasons experience in the wetlands is a range of nectars and pollens from mangroves and blossoming native species.
Our current batch of Wetlands Honey is a mix of the grey leaf Mangrove and tea tree nectar, made from the wetlands Leptospermum flowers over the course of the Autumn season.
Our Brisbane Wetlands Neighbourhood Honey is a seasonal reflection of the diversity of flowers found in this coastal wetland pocket, a completely unique taste of Brisbane's Eastern forests.
Flying up to 5kms from their hives, our Brisbane Wetland bees have been ever diligent to find the flavourful nectars from the neighbouring suburbs of Brisbane Airport, Banjo, Nundah, Hendra, Northgate and Eagle Farm.
Our seasonal honey is harvested at the end of each climatic season to ensure we capture the specific flavour and textural profile of the former season's flowerings. From batch to batch and location to location, our honey will change in flavour, texture, profile and natural sugar content.
